Many years ago, I had an ongoing, back-burner crush on a guy who lived in NY. I was living in San Francisco at the time, but he traveled a lot for work and I did too, so we met up a handful of times in random locations. He was cute, and super smart, and we always had great conversations, though we did not know each other very well. Sometimes we went for years without seeing each other.
